Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you all to the Post-Congress meeting of the German-Japanese Society of Dermatology (GJSD), to be held in the beautiful and traditional town of Asakusa in Tokyo.
Our annual German-Japanese Joint Meeting has been an essential platform for exchanging viewpoints, sharing experiences, and advancing progress in dermatology for over 30 years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to postpone the meeting for the past few years. However, now we can finally meet in person, and we are thrilled to reconnect with our esteemed colleagues and friends.
Our face-to-face meeting is vital to extend our interrelationships and to communicate our experiences to the next generation. Our stimulating scientific program is designed to facilitate the exchange of new ideas and the latest developments in the field.
Asakusa is a charming and historic district in Tokyo that offers visitors an authentic cultural experience. It is home to the famous Sensoji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, surrounded by traditional Japanese shops and restaurants that serve delicious Japanese cuisine. Nakamise-dori, a bustling shopping street in Asakusa, is a must-visit destination for souvenir shopping, traditional Japanese crafts, and street food. A leisurely stroll along the Sumida River provides a stunning view of Tokyo's skyline.
We hope you take advantage of your stay in Asakusa and enjoy all that it has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you to Japan and the Post-Congress meeting of the German-Japanese Society of Dermatology.
Warm regards,
Akimichi Morita, MD, PhD,
